Save the Date for Full STEAM Ahead 4 – a mini-conference – March 14, 2019
NJSACC: The Statewide Network for New Jersey’s Afterschool Programs in partnership with C. S. Mott Foundation, Kean University, New Jersey Department of Education and the Noyce Foundation Present Full STEAM Ahead! A mini conference dedicated to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math.
Everyone is talking about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math). Afterschool is a great place to bring in STEAM activities! But there is often a fear factor when it comes to staff doing STEAM. Many people feel nervous that they won’t do the activities the right way or they think that if they don’t have a science background it won’t work for them. But that couldn’t be farther from the truth! Join us to find out how you can implement activities to get the children in your program actively engaged. Also, find out the benefits of learning along with the children in your program and how it can make a positive and lasting impression!
