🔮 Ball Run Challenge Submission Window Opens Feb 22

Entry Information

For each team entry, you will need:

  • Team name
  • Number of students on the team
  • Average age of the team members
  • Final score (up to two decimal places)
  • Time (rounded to the nearest second)
  • Educator or adult contact name and email address
  • Two photos: a close-up of the ball run and a photo of the team with the ball run (if possible, or a second photo of the ball run)
  • Optional: Student or educator feedback

A Team Entry Information form is available in the educator lesson plans to help you gather team data in advance. Students can work in teams of 1-4.

You can enter all of your teams, regardless of score.

Entries can be submitted through March 31, 2026.

 

Win for Your School or Program

Ten $1,000 (USD) prizes will be awarded in random drawings from valid entries in eligible locations. An additional prize will be awarded to the eligible team that receives the most votes in the Engineering Challenge Showcase.*

 

Vote in the Engineering Challenge Showcase

All valid entries will automatically be included in the Engineering Challenge Showcase, where students, teachers, families, and the community can browse entries and vote for their favorites.

Voting for the People’s Choice Award opens with the challenge and runs through April 7, 2026.Â
