Share Your Afterschool Story
Every program has something to share and we want to hear your Afterschool and Out-of-School Time (OST) stories! We want to hear how your Afterschool or Summer program is making a difference in the lives of students and their families. Submit an article, media clip, or your own story (brief narrative) about classes, events and personal stories of success. Submissions will be reviewed and posted in a timely fashion. CSI: How STEM is Used to Solve Crimes

We have had students take our class and have pursued Forensics in College. We host classes all year long thru after school programming that examine how STEM principles relating to Forensics and solving Crime Scenes. The presentation, labs and exercises will cover the many topics including: Take and identify and collect fingerprints, create & examine blood splatter patterns, identify an unknown power, chromatography, entomology – wave succession, cast footprints, extract DNA, use math to define bullet and blood Trajectory, Crime Scene processing…. Current or former law enforcement Detectives will be teaching this class.
