National FAFSA Week of Action: April 15-19

 National FAFSA Week is designed to drive FAFSA submissions among high school seniors and returning college students. During the Week of Action, the US Department of Education will be celebrating students, schools, districts, states and communities that are taking action!

How can you participate? 

  • Host an in-person FAFSA Week of Action submission event(s) leading up to and through the week of April 15-19;
    • to encourage students and families to take advantage of the historic financial benefits afforded by Better FAFSA.
  • Fill out and return the FAFSA Week of Action Commitment Form by 6:00 p.m. ET on April 5, 2024
  • Share Better FAFSA resources on social media and in newsletters

The Biden-Harris Administration is announcing a National FAFSA Week of Action, which will take place on April 15-19.  

This week is designed to drive FAFSA submissions among high school seniors and returning college students – and your organization has an important role to play!  Your organization and those in your local and state networks to host an in-person FAFSA Week of Action submission event(s) leading up to and through the week of April 15-19.

Calls to action are to:

  • Fill out and return the FAFSA Week of Action Commitment Form by 6:00 p.m. ET on April 5, 2024.
  • Continue to share Better FAFSA resources on social media and in newsletters (sample content is included below).
  • Join a White House official and Deputy Secretary of Education Cindy Marten at a virtual stakeholder briefing about the Week of Action on April 2, 2024 at 3pm ET.
