NJSACC Celebrates National Poetry Month. You can too.

Launched by the Academy of American Poets in April 1996, National Poetry Month reminds the public that poets have an integral role to play in our culture and that poetry matters. Over the years, it has become the largest literary celebration in the world, with tens of millions of readers, students, K-12 teachers, librarians, booksellers, literary events curators, publishers, families, and, of course, poets, marking poetry’s important place in our lives. NJSACC honors all of our nation’s wonderful poets.

SOME NATIONAL POETRY MONTH RESOURCES:

NJSACC staff has taken full advantage of this opportunity to curate and compile a list of some resources that support teaching and sharing various cultural celebrations with the youth you serve. This resource guide has been bookmarked and indexed. Once you’ve downloaded this PDF, you may either scroll through or select each resource from the table of contents.
