Getting Started with Service-Learning in Afterschool Programs
Student-led service or service-learning activities are an effective way to engage the youth in your afterschool program in activities that help them find their voice, take action, and make an impact. Participation in service helps youth build leadership and 21st-century skills, connects them to their community, and engages them as active citizens on the issues they care about.
Join the Afterschool Alliance, Youth Service America, and the National Youth Leadership Council to learn about how to add service or service-learning to your program, the free tools and trainings available to you, and a $500 grant opportunity to support activities during the 2021-2022 academic year.
