To support and share resources, NJSACC has developed the Capacity Building Series: Resources at a Glance Video Series.

Starting with You 4 Youth’s (y4y.ed.gov) free professional development portal for out-of-school time provider, in part one, learn how to access their self-paced courses, Click and Go Microlearning lessons, and other resources to train your staff virtually or in-person.

Capacity Building Series: Resources at a Glance → You 4 Youth – Part 2

Part two of exploring the You 4 Youth (y4y.ed.gov) portal, focuses on the Afterschool Training Toolkit (formerly the SEDL Afterschool Toolkit). This free resource provides ideas and structure for developing age-appropriate lesson plans for the out-of-school time realm. Explore the videos, templates and ideas to build activities that will engage students and staff alike.

The Beyond the Bell Toolkit is an A to Z guide developed by the American Institutes for Research for afterschool professionals. It’s packed with templates, info and tools to help design and maintain a high quality OST program based on best practices. In under five minutes, this video will share a quick view of all that this invaluable resource holds.

Capacity Building Series: Resources at a Glance → Mizzen by Mott

Mizzen by Mott is a brand new, free app designed for school-age providers and programs by the Charles S. Mott Foundation. In less than 5 minutes, this At a Glance Video is a quick intro on how to add and use this valuable resource in the daily operation of your program. Mizzen by Mott can be downloaded on Apple or Android devices.
