Garden State Girls STEM Collaborative

Garden State Girls STEM Collaborative

A team from NJSACC and NJ Department of Education just returned from the National Girls Collaborative Project’s Collaboration Institute in Tucson, Arizona. A select group of 40 people from around the country attended the four day training. The Collaboration Institute was NJ’s  formal introduction to the Girls Collaborative Model and was extremely informative about all of the tremendous opportunities that will be coming to
New Jersey as a result of NJSACC: The Network for NJ’s Afterschool, Communities , participation in this project.

The Garden State Girls STEM Collaborative is the New Jersey initiative for this nationwide project.
Our goal is to increase the quantity and quality of STEM opportunities for girls in the state.

We will be connecting:

*formal and informal educators

* business

* industry

* higher education

all to  engage girls in STEM high quality STEM activities and raise awareness of STEM careers.

We’re just beginning our work with the Garden State Girls STEM Collaborative, so please be on the lookout for information about  our new website, mini grants, professional development and upcoming events including our Collaborative Kickoff event, taking place this Spring.
In the meantime, please consider registering your program in the National Girls Collaborative Program Directory.
