The Regional Educational Laboratory Mid-Atlantic is happy to announce the following FREE professional development opportunity in New Jersey. The goal of this event is to increase participants’ understanding of researched-based recommendations in the Institute of Education Sciences’ Practice Guides and to improve the overall research literacy among education practitioners.

 NJSACC: The Network for  New Jersey’s Afterschool Communities is proud to co-sponsor this event.

This dual-topic session will focus on research and recommendations presented in the two Practice Guides Structuring Out-of-School Time to Improve Academic Achievement and Reducing Behavior Problems in the Elementary School Classroom.
Practice Guide co-authors Jessica Taylor (Structuring Out-of-School Time), Krista Kutash (Reducing Behavior Problems), and Robin Weaver (Reducing Behavior Problems) will present an overview of the recommendations offered in these Practice Guides.
