2009 Calendar Art Contest
Sponsored by the Department of Children and Families’ New Jersey Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect and the New Jersey PTA.
DEADLINE: All entries must be submitted by April 8, 2008
Students are invited to use their creative talents to illustrate this year’s theme: “What Makes a Family Strong. . . ” Children are encouraged to illustrate this theme with anything they think is important for a safe, happy, and secure childhood. Drawings can depict physical, social and emotional needs, such as a safe neighborhood, a good school and a loving family. Thousands of copies of this colorful calendar are distributed throughout New Jersey to help promote positive parenting and raise awareness of the problem of child abuse and neglect.

By entering this contest, students have an opportunity to have their artwork displayed in the 2009 calendar. The Grand Prize winners will win a $50 U.S. Savings Bond.
