At-Risk Afterschool Meal and Snack Program

At-Risk Afterschool Meal Program Eligibility Map

Afterschool programs located in "at-risk" communities can serve snack or supper to all enrolled children and receive the "free" rate of reimbursement for all meals served. "At-risk" communities are defined as any afterschool program site located within the attendance boundary of a school where 50% or more of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch through the National School Lunch Program.

Below is a map showing NJ municipalities considered "at-risk". Municipalities in Orange have some qualifying schools. Municipalities in Green have all schools qualifying. Please note this data is from the 2011-2012 school year, so if you think your program qualifies, please contact your local Board of Education for this year's data.
