Celebrate Afterschool! Outdoors in the Garden State was a roaring success, with nature festivals, hands-on workshops, and community events!
We made the headlines and took to the airways with media coverage across the state. Celebrate Afterschool was featured in the Asbury Park Press, Cherry Hill Courier Post, Philadelphia Inquirer, and the Home News Tribune. We were also seen locally on both ABC and NBC in Philadelphia and the entire South Jersey area.
Afterschool programs hosted state legislators, school board members and families at events across the state. They also collected hundreds of signatures from New Jersey residents who support afterschool.
Thanks to your support, our campaign is continuing to grow. Look for new partnerships, more public attention and great ways to get kids outdoors in the Garden State!

Celebrate Afterschool! Outdoors in the Garden State is a campaign to build lasting public support for affordable, high-quality afterschool programs across New Jersey. Led by a public-private partnership, the campaign builds public awareness and support; offers guidance for parents, providers and advocates; strengthens relationships with policymakers, funders, practitioners and parents and shares best practices.
