Outdoors in the Garden State is an opportunity to explore opportunities that the great outdoors offers their programs and to build understanding of and support for the afterschool field.
Afterschool programs can celebrate the resources of the Outdoors in the Garden State year-round. In every season, there are opportunities for quality activities and programming outside.
During the week of May 11, 2009, Celebrate Afterschool! Outdoors in the Garden State will hold high-visibility, fun and educational events to involve communities across the state in connecting children with nature through afterschool programs. These events are opportunities for programs and communities to work together to build support.
About the Campaign
Celebrate Afterschool! Outdoors in the Garden State is a campaign to build lasting public support for affordable, high-quality afterschool programs across New Jersey. Led by a public-private partnership, the campaign builds public awareness and support; offers guidance for parents, providers and advocates; strengthens relationships with policymakers, funders, practitioners and parents and shares best practices.
